Why is my character walking slow in Fallout 4?
Your character is probably overencumbered! In Fallout 4, if you're carrying too much stuff, your character will start walking super slow. Time to drop some of those desk fans and wrenches you've been hoarding. Or, if you can't bear to part with your precious junk, try investing in the Strong Back perk to increase your carrying capacity.

Did you check if you're in Power Armor without a Fusion Core? Running out of juice can really slow you down. While it's a cool way to make an entrance, it's not great for getting around.
Make sure you haven't accidentally toggled the walk/run key. Sometimes it's the small things that catch us off guard. Hit the caps lock (or the equivalent key if you're on console) and see if that fixes your speedy issue.
The Sole Survivor just likes taking in the scenery, obviously. Who needs to rush in a post-apocalyptic wonderland? But for real, it's likely you're overencumbered or hit the toggle walk button by mistake. Happens to the best of us!
