First things first, make sure your headset is fully plugged in and the mic isn’t muted! Sometimes it’s the simplest things.
Verify that your parental controls aren’t restricting the chat feature. Those settings can interfere with your mic.
Check your system settings to see if voice chat is enabled. Go to Settings > Audio and ensure voice chat is turned on.
Make sure you’re using a headset that’s compatible with the Switch. Not all headphones work well with the mic function.
