Moderate NAT type often means your Xbox can't talk freely with other devices online. Try a wired connection or reboot your router to see if that helps.

Your NAT type might be moderate because your router isn't forwarding the right ports. Check your router settings and enable UPnP or manually forward the required Xbox Live ports.

I had the same issue! Turns out, my router's UPnP was off. Turning it on instantly fixed my NAT type to open.

Moderate NAT type can be a pain. Make sure your router firmware is up to date, and try setting a static IP for your Xbox.
