When the PS4 controller's light bar blinks red, it can also sometimes mean it's in need of a firmware update. Connect it to the PS4 and check for updates.

Honestly, could just be a glitch. Restart your PS4 and re-pair the controller. Works for me every time!

It could indicate overheating. If you鈥檝e been gaming for hours, give your controller a break and let it cool down before using it again.

A blinking red light might indicate a problem with the cable or connection. Try a different USB cable to see if it resolves the issue.

Your PS4 controller blinking red usually means the battery is low. Plug it into the console to charge it up!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
