If the card's already been redeemed, it won't work again. Check with whoever gave it to you to make sure you're the first one using it.
Once had the same issue, turns out the card was damaged. If this might be your case, contact Roblox support – they're pretty helpful.
First, double-check the code for any typos. Those pesky numbers and letters can be tricky!
