Flashing light? Sometimes it just means the device is rebooting. Give it a minute and see if it resolves itself.
Could be your remote is low on battery. Try popping in some fresh ones and see if that fixes the light show.
I had the same issue last week! Turned out I needed to update the firmware. Go to Settings > System > System Update.
