If all else fails, uninstall and then reinstall Snapchat. It's like turning it off and on again but better!
Make sure Snapchat has permission to use your microphone in the app settings. Sometimes those permissions sneakily change.
Have you tried updating the app? Snapchat rolls out updates regularly, and an update might fix your sound issue.
