Why is my Steam in Chinese?
TrainingLace·7 months agoYour Steam probably just defaulted to Chinese for some reason. Try logging in through the website and changing the language there, sometimes changes stick better that way.

Looks like your Steam client got a bit too enthusiastic about celebrating the Lunar New Year! Jokes aside, it's likely a settings hiccup. Head over to Steam's settings, look for the 'Interface' tab, and there you should find a dropdown menu for language preferences. Select English (or your preferred language) from there, restart Steam, and it should revert back to a language you're more familiar with.
It's a feature, not a bug. Just kidding – you probably just need to change your settings.
Oof, sounds like Steam's having a bit of an identity crisis! Another quick fix is to right-click on the Steam shortcut, select Properties, and in the 'Target' field, add '-language english' at the end (without quotes). Apply the changes, and Steam should start in English next time you launch it.
