First things first, make sure your batteries aren’t dead! Swap 'em out for fresh ones or try recharging if you’re using a rechargeable pack.

Check if the battery contacts need a little TLC. Sometimes dust or grime can get in the way—clean 'em up and see if that helps!

Hot take: Maybe it's a sign from the universe to take a break! But seriously, try plugging it into the console with a USB cable to rule out wireless issues.

I had the same problem last week! Turns out, my controller firmware needed an update. Connect it to your console and head to the settings to update.

Sometimes controllers just need a reset. Hold down the sync button and the Xbox button for around 10 seconds and see if it wakes up.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company. The logos and other identifying marks attached are trademarks of and owned by each represented company and/or its affiliates. Please visit each company's website for additional terms and conditions.
