Why is my Xbox Series S showing a black screen?
NoticingPuff路5 months agoHey there! Try restarting your console by holding the power button for 10 seconds until it completely shuts down, then turn it back on. This often resolves temporary glitches!

Check your HDMI cable and make sure it's securely connected to both your Xbox and your TV. A loose or faulty cable can cause a black screen.
Hot take: It's probably the TV, not the Xbox. Swap out the TV or try a different HDMI port on the TV before blaming the console.
In my experience, a system update can sometimes cause this. Make sure your console is fully updated by connecting it to the internet and checking for updates.
It might be a resolution issue. Boot up your Xbox in low resolution mode by holding the power button and EJECT button simultaneously until you hear two beeps.
