Soul Eater ended because the anime caught up to the manga, leading to the creation of a different ending for the anime. They decided to wrap it up instead of waiting for more source material. Still worth the watch though!

The creators wrapped up Soul Eater to match the manga's storyline and provide a satisfying conclusion. Plus, Maka and Soul deserved a break after all those epic battles!

I was gutted when Soul Eater ended, but the anime and manga were at different points, and they needed to wrap it up cleanly. Sometimes, it鈥檚 better to end on a high note!
