Steam can feel like it's dragging its digital feet for a few reasons. If your internet is doing the digital equivalent of walking through molasses, that's going to slow down Steam too. Also, don't forget that Steam's servers can be overwhelmed, especially during big sales or game launches. It's like everyone trying to squeeze through the same tiny door. Lastly, it might just be your PC having a hard time keeping up, kind of like trying to run a marathon after a Thanksgiving dinner.

Honestly, sometimes it just feels like Steam decides to take a nap at the worst possible times. Could be heavy traffic, your internet having a moment, or Steam doing mysterious Steam things in the background.

Most of the time, Steam is slow because it's busy updating a game or downloading a new one in the background. Check your download queue; you might find the culprit there hogging all the bandwidth!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
