To put it simply, Kirito鈥檚 adventures just got a little too hardcore for the kiddos.
As someone who's seen the whole season, I can tell you, there are parts that are way more intense and not suitable for younger viewers鈥攖hink more blood, deeper emotional trauma, and some disturbing stuff.
Sword Art Online Season 3 is rated TV-MA because it includes more intense and mature themes, like graphic violence, darker storylines, and stronger language. It's definitely a step up from the previous seasons in terms of edginess!
