Why is Tarkov not on Steam?
Tarkov's not on Steam probably because the devs want to keep it exclusive to their launcher. It's all about that direct relationship with the player base and having full control over their game's ecosystem.

Escape From Tarkov isn't on Steam because the developers, Battlestate Games, prefer to distribute it directly to players through their own platform. This way they get to keep a larger cut of the profits and have more control over their game's distribution and updates. Plus, by avoiding third-party platforms, they sidestep the fees and restrictions that come with them.
Steam's cut is too high! Why share profits when you can sell direct and keep it all?
As a big Tarkov fan, I think being off Steam allows them more freedom to update the game and interact with the community directly. It鈥檚 not about avoiding Steam, but creating the best possible experience for players.
