The Forest is rated M because it features intense violence, gore, and strong language. Those cannibalistic mutants aren't just for show!

The Forest is super gory, and the language can be strong. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

The M rating is due to the graphic violence, blood, and mature themes like cannibalism. Not exactly kid-friendly bedtime story material.

Because beheading cannibals isn't really a PG activity. Trust me, I've seen things in The Forest that I can't unsee!
