Why is the Fortnite queue so long?
It's probably cuz the servers are getting hammered. Try playing during off-peak hours, it usually helps!

Sometimes matchmaking can take longer due to cross-platform play, as the system tries to balance the player skill levels.
Too many players, not enough servers. Simple as that.
During major updates or events, everyone wants a piece of the action, so the queue times go through the roof!
