It's personal! The Gun Devil sees Chainsaw Man as a major obstacle to its plans for chaos and destruction. Basically, Denji's bad news for the Gun Devil's ambitions.

Honestly, because Chainsaw Man (Denji) is a devil hunter, and the Gun Devil isn't a fan of getting hunted. Just a professional hazard of the job.

The Gun Devil wants to eliminate Chainsaw Man (Denji) because his power threatens the existence of devils everywhere. Devils fear Chainsaw Man's unique ability to consume them, erasing their existence entirely.

Denji's power of erasing devils makes him the ultimate threat to devils like the Gun Devil. Can't let that chainsaw guy get too comfy, ya know?
