Game development can be a tricky business. Sometimes the licenses to classic games just run out, and renewing them isn鈥檛 always feasible. RIP Tetris app!

Developers likely couldn't come to terms with renewing the license. Happens all the time in the mobile gaming world.

The app鈥檚 being retired because the licensing deal that EA had to create and distribute Tetris games expired. They're making room for new ones!

If you're a Tetris player looking for extra power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Tetris essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
