Oh, the Pokemon card scarcity saga! It's like a rare Pokemon itself - elusive and much sought after. The main reasons are skyrocketing demand, thanks largely to a surge in nostalgia and prominent influencers hyping it up. Then, throw in production issues tied to global logistics nightmares, and you've got the perfect storm for empty shelves and inflated prices. It's not just the kids; adults are diving back into their childhood pastime, making it a hot commodity!

tl;dr: Too many people want 'em, not enough cards to go around. Thanks, pandemic.

Honestly, it's simple economics. Demand has massively outpaced supply. With the pandemic, more folks are home and looking to hobbies like the Pokemon TCG to fill time. Plus, the online game's popularity doesn't help physical stock. Then you've got scalpers... Don't get me started on them. They buy up stock to resell at ridiculous prices, making it even harder for the average Joe to get their hands on cards.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
