It's all about licensing agreements. Nintendo and Funko would have to come to an agreement to create Mario Funko Pops. Given how iconic Mario is, and how Nintendo manages their IP, it's not surprising they're cautious about where and how Mario's likeness is used.

Nintendo likes to keep their characters in-house for merchandising, so we're all out of luck until they decide to team up with Funko. But imagine how cool a Mario Funko would be!

Honestly, who needs a Mario Funko Pop when there are so many other cool Funkos out there? Just enjoy what鈥檚 available!

Nintendo is super protective of their characters and likely hasn't given Funko the rights to make a Mario Funko Pop. My guess is they're holding onto those rights tighter than Mario holds onto a Super Star.

If you're a Funko Pop player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
