Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage is divided into three hub worlds: Summer Forest, Autumn Plains, and Winter Tundra. The developers probably wanted a thematic progression across the seasons, or maybe Spyro just needed a break during spring!

The lack of a spring hub world in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage might have been a stylistic choice. The devs likely wanted a distinct seasonal theme without a full cycle.

Because Spyro needed a Spring Break, duh!

I used to wonder this too, but I realized that the game simply progresses from summer to winter to enhance story and gameplay contrast!
