The first series, Fullmetal Alchemist (2003), diverged from the manga due to it being unfinished at the time. So, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (2009) was made to follow the manga closely!

Brotherhood is the GOAT. It sticks to the manga, while the original took its own path.

Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) started before the manga was completed, leading to an original storyline. Brotherhood (2009) sticks to the manga all the way.

The original anime outpaced the manga, so they created their own ending. Brotherhood is for the purists!

If you're a Fullmetal Alchemist fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
