China's way of saying, 'We have TikTok at home,' but that home version is Douyin. Less global influence, more control.
China censors foreign apps and content, and TikTok doesn't meet their strict guidelines, so they stick with the local version, Douyin.
The ban exists because China has strict content regulations and TikTok, as an international app, doesn't fit their rules. Douyin, however, does.
