He’s probably not there due to all that 'historical controversy' stuff. Game developers usually play it safe and steer clear.

Barry Bonds isn't in MLB The Show because he isn't a member of the MLB Players Association, which makes it complicated to get his likeness in the game.

Bonds has been missing from the series for years due to licensing issues. Basically, no MLBPA = no Bonds in the game.

They can't include Barry Bonds because of legal and licensing hurdles. It's kind of a bummer but understandable.

If you're a MLB The Show Companion App player looking for extra credit or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in MLB The Show Companion App essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
