Why Isn't Jade in Mortal Kombat X?
Jade decided to take a vacation! On a more serious note, Jade isn't a playable character in Mortal Kombat X, but her spirit kinda lives on through Kitana's 'Mournful' variation, which uses Jade's weapons and moves.

Jade actually appears in Mortal Kombat X, but only as a revenant version of Kitana. She doesn't have her own playable character slot, which definitely disappointed some fans.
