They should just remake it already; it's a classic! But yeah, licensing and tech hurdles probably keep it off backwards compatibility lists. Ugh.

I miss MK9 too! But getting older games to run on newer consoles involves lots of work and money - not always a priority.

Not everything can make the leap, sadly. MK9 seems to be stuck in the past due to licensing and technical reasons.

Mortal Kombat 9 isn't backwards compatible likely due to licensing issues and the complexity of updating older games for new hardware. Sometimes it鈥檚 just not as simple as flipping a switch!

Honestly, they should just focus on new games. Who needs backward compatibility when the new MK is so epic?

If you're a Mortal Kombat player looking for extra coins or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Mortal Kombat essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
