Check that the 'Advanced Placement' button is toggled on in the build mode. Sometimes it gets turned off accidentally.
Is your game fully updated? Sometimes bugs get squashed in the latest patches, so make sure you're running the most recent version of Bloxburg.
Honestly, Advanced Placing can sometimes be glitchy. If all else fails, try restarting the game. Works like a charm most of the time.
