Why Isn't My Xbox Controller Connecting to My Xbox?
AlightingTang·5 months agoFirst, make sure your controller has batteries or is fully charged. Then, try pressing and holding the sync button on both the console and controller until they connect. If that doesn't work, a full reboot of your Xbox might do the trick!

Sometimes the controller needs a firmware update. Connect it via USB to your console and check for updates in the settings menu.
Try the good old “turn it off and on again” method. Unplug your Xbox for a minute, restart it, and then try reconnecting the controller.
Honestly, it might be broken. Controllers can get damaged, so consider trying another one to see if the problem persists.
Make sure no other devices are interfering with the connection, like other wireless controllers or Bluetooth devices in the area.
