Why isn't my Xbox controller working?

Common issue! Check the batteries or charge the controller if it鈥檚 a rechargeable one. Dead batteries = no fun.
Could be a firmware issue. Make sure your controller's firmware is up to date; you can update it through the Xbox Accessories app on your console or PC.
Interference can be a culprit. Make sure there are no large metal objects or devices emitting wireless signals nearby that might be causing the issue.
Unplug the console for a few minutes and then plug it back in. Sometimes a complete reboot is all it needs.
