Look, the Mortal Kombat movie tried to fit a lot of lore and fanservice into a short runtime, but it just didn't have the same magic as the games. Plus, some of those fight scenes felt more like dance-offs!
Honestly, it's pretty simple: the movie couldn't live up to the hype and legacy of the games. Sometimes, less is more.
As someone who grew up with the games, I was super excited but ended up disappointed. The plot holes and lack of character depth really let me down.
