Nintendo 64 was a 64-bit console focusing heavily on 3D graphics, while Street Fighter was primarily a 2D fighting game. Capcom probably just didn’t see it as a right fit for their flagship fighter.

Street Fighter had already made a home on PlayStation and Saturn, which were more suited to 2D fighters at the time.

Honestly, it feels like Nintendo 64 focused more on Mario and Zelda vibes than fighting games. Just wasn't the right console for the Street Fighter magic!
