Why Not Gordon Freeman for Super Smash Bros Ultimate?
As much as I'd love to crowbar some Smash action, Nintendo usually focuses on characters with a significant history on their consoles.

Gordon Freeman would be awesome! It's probably because Nintendo tends to stick to characters with strong ties to their own platforms, and Gordon's from Valve's Half-Life series.

I'd give anything to see Gordon Freeman in Smash, but licensing agreements would make it a real headache. Nintendo probably wants to avoid that mess.
