It's hated? I disagree. SAO is a great show, and it has an enormous fan base for a reason.

Some folks think SAO gets hate because the plot can be a bit all over the place and sometimes inconsistent. But hey, it鈥檚 got killer action scenes!
Personally, I didn't like how the storyline shifted after the first arc. It felt like a totally different show!
I think it's mostly due to pacing issues and some characters feeling underdeveloped. Fans have high expectations!
