Honestly, part of the reason is $$$. Extra content means more income for the developers. But hey, more content isn't a bad thing, right?
All that DLC lets them cover the huge Warhammer Fantasy universe more thoroughly. Plus, it keeps us playing and hooked for years.
As a long-time player, I love the DLCs. They add tons of variety and depth to the gameplay. It's a win-win if you're a fan of the series.
