Why won't Fallout 4 launch?
CarryingTree路6 months agoIt sounds silly, but make sure it's actually installed correctly. I had a similar problem, and it turned out my antivirus had quarantined a file because it thought it was suspicious. After restoring the file and marking it as safe, boom, it launched with no issue.

Compatibility mode for the win! Right-click on the game executable, go to properties > compatibility, and try running it in a mode suited for an older version of Windows. Sometimes newer systems are just too new for some games.
First things first, have you tried the classic 'turn it off and on again'? A simple restart can work wonders. If that doesn't cut it, check if your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers are often the culprits behind game launch issues. Also, make sure your PC meets the minimum requirements for Fallout 4. Sometimes, we overlook the basics!
Sounds like it's ditching you. Have you considered it might just not be that into you? Kidding! Verify the game files integrity via Steam. Sometimes files get corrupted, and this can cause the game not to launch.
Check your mods. If you're like me and you love modding Bethesda games, one of them might be causing the issue. Disable all mods and try launching the game. If it works, then reactivate them one by one to find the troublemaker.
