Ah, the classic controller conundrum! One reason might be that GTA San Andreas doesn't natively support all types of controllers. It's like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. You might wanna try using a tool like x360ce to emulate an Xbox 360 controller, which the game happily recognizes. Just plug in, set up the emulator, and voilà!

GTA San Andreas is old school, it might not like your fancy new controller. Stick to keyboard and mouse, it's how the classics were meant to be played.

Just plug in an Xbox controller, works like a charm for most PC games, including GTA San Andreas.

Did you check if the controller is actually working? Try it on another game or use the Windows Game Controller Settings to test it out. Sometimes, it's not a game issue but the controller having a mini existential crisis.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
