Sometimes the app just needs a good ol' restart. Close and reopen it, and see if that updates your profile picture. If not, reinstalling might do the trick.
Easy fix: make sure you've linked your game profile with your Facebook account. It usually grabs your pic from there. If your pic doesn鈥檛 update, try re-syncing your accounts. Worked for me!
Experience talking: I had the same issue. Updated my Facebook profile pic, but it didn't change in-game. Resolved it by logging out and back in from both Facebook and the game app.
