Why won't my PS2 read GTA San Andreas?

Ah, the classic 'disc read error' saga! There're a few reasons your PS2 might be giving you the cold shoulder with GTA San Andreas. First off, check the disc for scratches or dirt - a quick wipe with a soft cloth might just do the trick. If the disc looks like it survived a sandstorm, it might be time for a replacement. Another culprit could be the PS2's laser lens being dirty or needing recalibration. There are plenty of tutorials online on how to clean it safely. Lastly, make sure the disc isn't a different region from your PS2, as they're region-locked!

Honestly, just clean the disc. 9 out of 10 times it's just smudges causing the problem. Worked for me.

If other games work fine and it's just GTA San Andreas giving you grief, the disc is probably busted. Time to hunt for a new copy, my friend.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
