First, make sure your controller is charged! Plug it into the PS4 using a USB cable and see if the light bar turns on. If it doesn't, try a different USB cable or port.

Have you tried plugging it in? Sometimes the battery just needs a charge. Also, a quick reset with the tiny button on the back near the L2 trigger can work wonders.

In my experience, a faulty USB cable can also be the culprit. Try using a different one!

It could be a battery issue. If it won't charge or turn on, you might need to replace the internal battery.

Try resetting your controller. There's a tiny button on the back of the controller near the L2 button. Use a paperclip to press it for a few seconds and then reconnect it to your PS4.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
