Dude, sometimes it's just about unplugging and replugging the controller. Worked for me a few times.

Check if you need to install additional drivers for your USB controller. Windows sometimes doesn't auto-detect everything as we wish it did.

Make sure your USB controller is actually compatible with the game or the device you're using with Xbox Game Pass. Not all controllers are supported!
