Unfortunatley, Xbox One controllers aren't backward compatible with the 360. Bummer, right?

Short answer: No. The Xbox One controller is not compatible with the Xbox 360 console. I've tried it myself.

Nope, an Xbox One controller won't work on an Xbox 360. They use different wireless protocols and connectors.
