Yes, but it depends on which PS3 model you have. The original fat PS3 (the 20GB, 60GB, and some 80GB models) had backwards compatibility with PS2 games. The slim and super slim models, unfortunately, do not have this feature.

I had the original 60GB PS3, and it played my old PS2 games perfectly. It felt like a two-for-one deal!

Some PS3 models play PS2 games, but if you have a slim or super slim PS3, you're outta luck. Try finding a fat PS3 for those classics!
