Nope, the Xbox 360 controller won't work on an Xbox One directly. You’ll need a compatible Xbox One or Series controller.

Coming from personal experience, I tried plugging in my trusty Xbox 360 controller into my Xbox One, but it didn’t work. Had to buy a new one!

You can't use a 360 controller on an Xbox One. You’ll need the newer controllers meant for Xbox One or later.
