Unlike past Pokémon games, Pokémon Violet doesn't strictly enforce a linear gym order due to its open-world design. However, most players find a natural path that starts with Cortondo (Bug-type gym), then heads to Artazon (Grass-type), Levincia (Electric-type), Cascarrafa (Water-type), Medali (Normal-type), Montenevera (Ghost-type), Alfornada (Psychic-type), and finally Glaseado (Ice-type). This route seems to balance difficulty progression and storytelling!

Does order really matter in Pokemon Violet? Just enjoy the game and challenge gyms as you encounter them.

Honestly, just wing it. The beauty of Pokemon Violet's open world means you can challenge the gyms in pretty much any order you feel like. Though, tackling them in a random order might spike the difficulty at times.
