2013, for sure. Right after they finished up with GTA V, they rolled onto the next. Can't let that gaming goldmine sit idle!

They officially announced GTA 6 is in development, but Rockstar's been super secretive about the exact start date. Rumor has it, they began working on it shortly after GTA V launched, so we're probably talking as far back as 2013 or 2014. Given how massive GTA V was, it makes sense they'd start plotting the next big thing early on.
