Just go fishing anywhere there's water. Barboach is pretty common, so it shouldn't take you too long to find one.

Pro tip: Barboach can also be found by fishing in Casseroya Lake. This place is massive, so you have a good chance of encountering one. Caught mine there during a rainy in-game day, and it seems weather conditions might boost its spawn rate!
