Just a quick heads up, you won't find wild Gengar lurking around in Pokémon Violet. You gotta work a bit for this one - catch yourself a Gastly, evolve it to Haunter, and find a buddy to trade with so it evolves into Gengar. Easy peasy!

Gengar, that sneaky Ghost/Poison-type, is actually a bit tricky since you can't catch it in the wild in Pokémon Violet. Your best bet? Catch a Gastly or Haunter, then evolve Haunter into Gengar by trading it with a friend. Remember, trading back is key if you want that Gengar in your team!

Actually, I managed to get my Gengar by trading a Haunter with another player. No wild Gengar running around in Pokémon Violet, folks.
