Why does Pokemon Violet look so bad?

It's not that Pokemon Violet looks 'bad', per se, it's more about the game pushing the limits of the Nintendo Switch hardware. Given that Scarlet and Violet are the first open-world RPGs in the Pokemon series, some graphical compromises were likely made to maintain performance across the vast, dynamic world of the Paldea region. So, while some areas or elements might not look as polished, it’s a trade-off for a more expansive and immersive gameplay experience.

Honestly, it's all about expectations. If you're comparing Pokemon Violet's graphics to ultra-high-definition games on more powerful consoles or PCs, yeah, it might seem lacking. But for what it offers on the Switch, an open-world experience with tons of Pokemon to catch and places to explore, it's pretty impressive!

Graphics aren't everything! Gameplay over graphics any day. I've played Pokemon Violet and the fun and adventure outweigh any graphical glitches.

IDK what everyone is on about, I think Pokemon Violet looks great. 🤷♂️
