Check your internet connection. Might sound silly, but a slow or unstable connection can mess with updates big time. Happened to me last month, thought it was a Steam issue, turned out my internet was just being spotty.

Ugh, been there! My CS:GO didn't update once because my hard drive was almost full. Make sure you've got enough space for the update. Games these days are huge, and CS:GO updates can be pretty chunky too.

One common reason your CS:GO isn't updating could be a glitch in Steam itself. Try restarting Steam or checking for updates manually by going to the 'Library' section, right-clicking on CS:GO, and selecting 'Properties'. Under the 'Updates' tab, you can check for updates. If that doesn't work, verify the integrity of game files by going to the 'Local Files' tab and clicking 'Verify integrity of game files'. This often fixes the issue!

Might be a server issue. Steam servers get overloaded sometimes, especially during big updates or sales. Give it some time, then try updating again.

Honestly, it might just be Steam being Steam. Sometimes it doesn't auto-update games even when you have that setting on. A quick restart of Steam or your PC usually kicks it back into gear.
