Why is my XP reduced in CS:GO?

Your XP in CS:GO could be reduced because of a couple of things. First off, if you've been playing a lot, you might've hit the weekly XP bonus limit. Valve put this in place to fight off bots and grinders. Basically, after a certain amount of XP in a week, the amount you earn starts to decrease. It resets every week, so just wait it out. Another possibility? If you're playing in less competitive or unofficial servers, the XP gain there could be lower than what you're used to. Stick to official matchmaking for the best XP gains!

It's all about the weekly XP limit, bud. Valve ain't too keen on letting bots or hardcore grinders mess up the game for the rest of us. Once you hit that cap, your XP gain takes a nosedive. Focus on competitive matches for max XP.

XP reduction in CS:GO? Just means you're playing too much, mate. Take a break, go outside, or something. Your XP gain resets weekly.
